How often should a water heater be maintained?
It depends on the unit, the manufacturer, your water and its age. We look at yours and suggest a sensible interval, not a sales calendar.
Can every older tank be flushed?
Not always. Heavy sediment, a crusty drain valve or a tired tank can turn a flush into a leak. We check before disturbing an old unit.
Does maintenance guarantee the water heater will not fail?
No. It helps catch problems and keeps the unit running as designed, but age and corrosion still win eventually.
